Owasso Winter Guards enjoy successful first season
Congratulations to our Winter Guards on an outstanding season! The B Guard came in second place in Scholastic Regional A; the A Guard was 6th in Scholastic A at the State Championships held at Mustang High School.
7/8 Grade bands receive the OSSAA Outstanding Achievement Award
Congratulations to all four of our 7th and 8th grade bands! Each group received straight Superior Ratings from the judges at OSSAA District Concert Band Contest.
Wind Ensemble performs in first ever Oklahoma Bandmasters Association Concert Festival
The Wind Ensemble gave a wonderful performance at the first ever OBA Music For All Concert Band Festival on March 28 at Bartlesville High School. The group performed Easter Monday on the White House Lawn by Sousa, O Magnum Mysterium by Lauridsen and Postcard by Ticheli.
Saxophone Choirs headed to NASA Convention
Our famous saxophone choir, under the direction of Owasso assistant Shawn O’Kelley, will perform at the North American Saxophone Alliance Region 4 Convention at the University of Arkansas on March 15-17.

Pride of Owasso Invited to 2020 Rose Parade
This will be Owasso’s sixth time participating in the Tournament of Roses Parade. More than any other band in the state of Oklahoma!
The Rose Parade’s musical legacy dates to 1891 when the Monrovia, Calif. City Band joined the procession of flower-covered pony carts in the second Tournament of Roses Parade. Since then, hundreds of thousands of musicians from all over the world have made the famous march through Pasadena on New Year’s Day. The Rose Parade has welcomed high schools, colleges and universities, and Military bands. Past parades have featured a variety of musicians including marching bands, drum and bugle corps, brass and percussion bands, and bag pipes. This will be Owasso’s sixth time participating in the Tournament of Roses Parade. More than any other band in the state of Oklahoma!
